Situated outside of St Petersburg Pushkin is one of the imperial family's summer palaces and is basically Russia's answer to Versailles. Like most things the Pushkin Palace, or Catherine Palace. was badly destroyed after World War Two and is still in the process of being restored and has been since the end of the war.
